Preferences
Go to Settings > Preferences to customise how SousChef works for your family.
Region
Set your region so Sous uses locally appropriate ingredient names, measurements, and terminology. For example:
- New Zealand / Australia / UK: Metric measurements, capsicum, coriander, mince.
- United States: Cups and tablespoons, bell pepper, cilantro, ground beef.
Dietary restrictions
Add your family's dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, nut allergy). Sous will consider these when suggesting recipes and substitutions.
Appearance
Go to Settings > Appearance to choose your preferred look:
- System: Follows your iPhone's light/dark mode setting.
- Light: Always light mode.
- Dark: Always dark mode.
