Free vs Sous Pass
SousChef is free to start with core features:

Cook Mode itself -- step-by-step view, smart timers, and voice commands -- is free for everyone. Asking Sous a question mid-cook uses AI chat, which is a Sous Pass feature.
Your free trial
Every new family starts with a 7-day free trial of Sous Pass -- every feature unlocked, no card required. When the trial ends, you'll move to the Free plan unless you subscribe.
Upgrading to Sous Pass
You can subscribe whichever way suits your device, and Sous Pass is available monthly or yearly:
- iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings > Subscription, tap Subscribe, and complete the purchase through the App Store (billed via your Apple ID).
- Android: Go to Settings > Subscription, tap Subscribe, and complete the purchase through Google Play (billed via your Google account).
- Web: Subscribe at souschef.div.nz, billed by card through Stripe.
It doesn't matter which one you choose -- Sous Pass applies to your whole family, so everyone in the family gets Sous Pass features.
Managing your subscription
Manage or cancel from wherever you subscribed:
- App Store (iPhone/iPad): Settings > your name > Subscriptions > SousChef.
- Google Play (Android): Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > SousChef.
- Web / Stripe: Open the billing portal from Settings > Subscription (or at souschef.div.nz) to update your card or cancel.
If you cancel, you'll keep Sous Pass features until the end of your current billing period.
